In October 2024, JCIE was invited to present at the 9th International Forum on Senior Care Science and Innovation (SCSI), a meeting organized by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST). The forum’s theme was “Science and Technology Empowerment: Innovation and Practice of Smart Elderly,” focusing on the key technologies and applications of smart elderly care, recreational equipment, elderly nutrition and health, as well as policies and practices of smart elderly care. It was a full day event consisting of speeches and presentations on key technologies and innovations assisting elderly living from various countries including China, Finland, Denmark, and Japan. JCIE’s Momoko Abe, a member of the team that organizes the Healthy Aging Prize for Asian Innovation (HAPI), made a presentation on case studies from Japan and introduced the innovations of past HAPI winners such as Orange Links and SILVERWOOD.
